Greetings! I’m Kristi, your friendly neighborhood growth designer. Thanks for stopping by.

I have 20+ years of experience designing and optimizing products and websites—for small startups to giant organizations.

My experience includes UX strategy, product design, user research, content design, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, building, and testing.

My tools of choice are Figma, Miro, Maze, and WordPress.

On the personal front, I am an INFP who lives in the Minnesota north woods and deeply enjoys spending time close to nature.

Here’s a bit more about me

I’ve been designing for the web for more than half my life! I discovered my passion while in high school, designing my first website on dial-up Internet in my parents’ basement. A few decades later, I am still endlessly grateful that I was able to turn my once-nerdy hobby into a career.

I’ve always been interested in people and understanding behavior. I am fortunate to have received coaching from some of the industry’s leading conversion optimization experts and behavioral scientists. I’ve completed more than 200 hours of training covering topics of conversion optimization, user research, data analysis, and neuromarketing. I have a mini-degree in digital psychology and a certificate in behavioral economics.

I am, and always will be, an advocate for the user! Most of my work relies on deep understanding of the user. I LOVE researching and testing. I’ve spent hundreds of hours testing websites, web content, and messaging with real people. I’ve conducted heuristic analysis and performed tear-downs. I’ve mapped journeys in order to identify gaps and areas of opportunities. I’ve conducted interviews and crafted surveys. I’m experienced in creating user personas, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

Words are part of the experience. Therefore I believe content design and UX writing is an essential skill for a growth designer. Web content strategy and writing have always been a part of what I do. My writing portfolio includes web copy, UI / microcopy, emails, video scripts, advertisement copy, conversational chat scrips, infographics, blogs, training materials, and technical content. I have also developed UX writing guidelines for companies who did not already have them.
